Stripes Beauty Launches 'National Hot Flash Day' to Bring Awareness, Naomi Watts' Menopause Wellness Brand

Stripes Beauty, an actress Naomi Watts-founded menopause-focused beauty and wellness brand, has declared September 9 as the first-ever 'National Hot Flash Day.' This has been done with a motive to bring awareness about menopause and its symptoms.

Launched by Watts in 2022 and recently acquired by the investment firm L Catterton, Stripes Beauty is all about breaking down stigma, shame, and anxiety associated with menopause. The brand offers a variety of science-backed vaginal wellness products, skincare, and haircare solutions specially designed for women undergoing hormonal changes.

"We are proud to officially launch National Hot Flash Day to champion an open dialogue about menopause, its symptoms, and this natural phase of life," said Watts in a statement. "By establishing a day to speak publicly about the challenges women encounter, we hope to inspire conversation, community, and support for women as they navigate hormonal changes. No woman should have to go through this time alone."

To celebrate National Hot Flash Day, Stripes Beauty will host an ice cream pop-up event in Bryant Park at the corner of 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue in New York City, where visitors can receive information on managing hot flashes and menopause symptoms while cooling off with free ice cream from Van Leeuwen.

The brand will be providing samples of their product, 'The Cool Factor', a 3-in-1 ultra-cooling and calming face milk, designed to cool, soothe, and hydrate skin to help soothe symptoms associated with hormonal changes.

Meanwhile, for those who won't be able to make it to New York, Stripes Beauty has prepared an exclusive 'Keep it Cool' online bundle. The bundle will include the 'Cool Factor' face milk, 'The Inside Addition' menopause symptom supplement, and the sleep-boosting supplement, called 'The Dream Date', available together for $95.

Fashion styles and unique aesthetics have various names. more:

Dr. Somi Javaid, board-certified OBGYN and expert in female sexual health, praised the first day: "Today marks a pivotal moment in our understanding and approach to menopause. Hot flashes are much more than fleeting moments of heat-they can be debilitating, affecting sleep, mood, and daily life."

"National Hot Flash Day not only looks to recognize these deep challenges but also seeks to provide critical resources and information that will help women of every background in the effort to live through menopause with confidence and understanding, added Dr. Javaid.
